A snapshot of some floral watercolour cards that I am working on…
I love to work on my products in batches as I feel that it is a lot more efficient!
I used my favourite watercolour paints for these cards and they are ready to be completed with fineliner. Stay tuned to see how they come out…
Day 353 – Puzzle Fairy
I drew this scene in pencil on some paper before painting in watercolour and finishing some if the details in black fineliner.
I then cut it into puzzle-shaped pieces (which took a lot longer than I expected).
Day 350 – Ombre Background Fairy
Drawn directly using black fineliner onto a feint colourful stripey background painted using watercolour paints.
Day 349 – Green Fairy
Painted using green watercolour paints on some pale green card.
Day 327 – 2018 Fairy
To celebrate the start of 2018, I painted “2018” in various shades of watercolour paints before layering it up with coloured pens and colouring pencils.
I then drew a silhouette of a fairy on the reverse and cut it out using my craft knife and placed the reverse silhouette on the cutting mat.
Day 325 – Watercolour Pencil Fairy
Using a newly re-discovered material of watercolour pencils, I couldn’t resist playing around and sketching today’s fairy before using a wet paintbrush to blend the colours.
