Week 50 Compilation Board!
350 days down, 15 days to go…
Day 350 – Ombre Background Fairy
Drawn directly using black fineliner onto a feint colourful stripey background painted using watercolour paints.
Day 228 – ย Breezy Fairy
Drawn straight onto an old plastic school project file using a thick black permanent marker.
Day 216 – Woven Bead Fairy
Bead weaving and bead knitting are favourite techniques of mine to use. I came across bead knitting a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I then started experimenting with bead weaving as well as creating my own designs.
I decided to weave the gold and white seed beads onto some silver card using some clear fishing wire.
Day 203 – Coffee Cup Fairy
A silhouette of a fairy filled with drawings of various coffee cups drawn in fineliner.
Day 200 – Drawn in the Dark Fairy
Drawn in the dark using swirling strokes with a biro on a napkin whilst traveling back home from our holidays.
Day 102 – Folded Paint Fairy
This is an old technique that I haven’t used since I was about three years old but I was reminded of it earlier this week and I couldn’t resist re-enacting this old favourite.
I simply folded a piece of paper in half, put thick gouache paint on one half of the page in a half-silhouette of a fairy with wings (and swirls), folded the page and when I opened the page up again the paint had spread onto the opposite side in a symmetrical way to show a full fairy-like image.
