Week 51 Compilation Board!
357 days down, 8 days to go!!!
Day 357 – Mirrored Fairy
I drew today’s fairy using HB pencil onto an A5 envelope before cutting them out using scissors.
I intended to place one cut-out onto the wooden surface, but actually really liked them both together in a mirror image.
Day 353 – Puzzle Fairy
I drew this scene in pencil on some paper before painting in watercolour and finishing some if the details in black fineliner.
I then cut it into puzzle-shaped pieces (which took a lot longer than I expected).
Day 345 – Pop-Up Fairy Vol II
I used felt tip pens to create various patterns on plain paper before cutting the shapes out and then sticking them onto a pop-up card.
Day 242 – Bubble Wrap Fairy Vol II
In contrast to my previous bubble wrap fairy, for today’s fairy I twisted some bubble wrap and tied it using a mini elastic band.
Day 328 – Bubble Painted Fairy
Created by using an old favourite technique of bubble painting, I put paint and washing up liquid in various cups, blew bubbles into the cups before dabbing the page onto the bubbles.
Once dried, I cut out the shape of today’s fairy.
Day 299 – Paper Snowflake Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created by using the paper snowflake method for the wings (using sheet music). I then cut out a separate silhouette for the body out of plain paper.
Day 276 – Poppy Fairy
In order to remember the fallen soldiers on Remembrance Day, I cut out today’s fairy from a photo I took of the Poppy installation at The Tower of London.
Day 254 – Chelsea Fairy
To celebrate my father’s birthday today, I cut out some Chelsea Football Club badges and stuck them onto a plain piece of paper.
I drew the outline of a fairy on the reverse and cut out the outline using scissors and placed today’s fairy on the dining table.
