Week 47 Compilation Board!
Week Forty Seven in a snapshot 🙂
329 days down, 36 to go…
Day 327 – 2018 Fairy
To celebrate the start of 2018, I painted “2018” in various shades of watercolour paints before layering it up with coloured pens and colouring pencils.
I then drew a silhouette of a fairy on the reverse and cut it out using my craft knife and placed the reverse silhouette on the cutting mat.
Day 295 – Dispersed Ink Fairy
This is a bit experimental!
I drew today’s fairy in pencil on a piece of paper before using some felt tip pens on a plastic surface; spraying the ink with water and rubbing the wet inked plastic surface onto the pencil drawing. I drew over the pencil drawing in fineliner.
I quite like the effect of the ink dispersed on the page.
Day 286 – Papercut Fairy
I drew the outline of today’s fairy on a piece of white paper before I cut around the outline using my craft knife and cutting mat. I flipped the paper over onto the reverse of the cutting mat.
Day 283 – Circular Outline Fairy
I drew today’s fairy gently in pencil in my sketchbook. I then proceeded to draw circles in varying sizes around the outline.
Day 277 – Pink Pencil Fairy
For today’s fairy, I drew the outline in black fineliner before gluing on some pencil sharpenings from a pink pencil for her dress and wings.
Day 253 – Pencil Shaving Fairy
For today’s fairy I drew an outline in pencil on some cartridge paper. Then I drew over the outline in glue before pouring some pencil shavings from my pencil sharpener onto the glue. I shook off the excess shavings.
As you can see, some of the coloured lead dust from inside the pencil sharpener stuck to the outline more than the shavings…
Day 242 – Sketchy Fairy
Drawn using a fine HB pencil in an A5 sketchpad.
Day 204 – Tissue Art Fairy
This is in the style of another tissue paper “painting” that I saw.
I drew the fairy in pencil on some white paper, painted each section loosely with watercolours before drawing the details in black fineliner when it had dried. I then proceeded to stick on torn shapes of tissue paper (in corresponding colours) to the background, her wings and clothing.
