Week 50 Compilation Board!
350 days down, 15 days to go…
Day 346 – Ink Sketched Fairy
Drawn freehand using a black fineliner straight onto some plain paper. I did not draw a pencil outline, hence the less-than-perfect proportions.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a close-up fairy so wanted to focus on her face for a change.
Day 295 – Dispersed Ink Fairy
This is a bit experimental!
I drew today’s fairy in pencil on a piece of paper before using some felt tip pens on a plastic surface; spraying the ink with water and rubbing the wet inked plastic surface onto the pencil drawing. I drew over the pencil drawing in fineliner.
I quite like the effect of the ink dispersed on the page.
Day 233 – Milly Molly Mandy Fairy
Inspired by an old favourite from my childhood library, I couldn’t resist my own take on Milly Molly Mandy as a fairy!
Day 231 – Pattern Stamp Fairy
Today’s fairy was created using pattern stamps from the National History Museum and some coloured ink pads.
Day 223 – Fountain Pen Fairy
Drawn using fountain pens with multiple different coloured ink cartridges.
Day 184 – Metallic Fingerprint Fairy
I started by drawing the outline of a fairy on some paper, cut it out using a craft knife and placed it on another piece of paper.
I then proceeded to use two fingers and my gold and silver ink pads to fill the whole area with fingerprints before removing the stencil to reveal the silhouette.
Day 182 – White Embossed Fairy
I was very excited to open my delivery of new embossing powders, inks and pens that I couldn’t resist creating today’s fairy using them.
I drew the outline in pencil (on a mini tan coloured notebook) before going over the drawing (a section at a time so the ink didn’t dry out) and used my opaque white embossing powder before heating to seal it.
Day 169 – Vivaldi Fairy
I had bought this Vivaldi paper a while ago with the intention of putting my RADA certificate on top, but it is a shade too dark, so I have kept it waiting for the right craft to come along.
I saw it on my desk and couldn’t resist using it for today’s fairy. I drew this using my black fountain pen and decided to colour it in using the same medium. This was not the best idea as the ink bled on the paper. Her nose was quite dainty initially…
