Fairy in a Jar

Day 355 – Fairy in a Jar

Created by cutting a silhouette of a fairy out of black paper and sticking it on the inside of the jar.

I then stuck one layer of white tissue paper using PVA glue, added some fairy dust and pearlescent paint before lighting a candle on the inside for the glow…

Glittery Gold Fairy

Day 334 – Glittery Gold Fairy

I used some very glittery gold card cut and arranged to create today’s fairy. It reminds me of my first fairy that I used chunky cut gold glitter and double sided sticky tape…

The glitter on this card is fine cut but equally sparkly!

Conical Fairy

Day 306 – Conical Fairy

Created as an alternative Christmas Tree Topper, today’s fairy was made using some preprinted card. I drew on the wings with a glue stick and dotted some spots on the dress before sprinkling some glitter onto the glue. I stuck the dress together into a conical shape using double sided sticky tape.

Sand Art Fairy

Day 43 – Sand Art Fairy

This is a technique that I have discovered relatively recently. I remember doing this with the children and they all thoroughly enjoyed it… I must I admit I enjoyed myself creating this, too!

I peeled off the backing of the double-sided tape for each specific section and poured coloured sand and glitter onto the surface, before shaking any excess off.

Bath Salts Fairy

Day 24 – Bath Salts Fairy

Ready for a pamper session, I conveniently had these glittery bath salts waiting to be used… and turned into today’s fairy!

I like the fact that there was already glitter on them before I took them out – everyone needs a bit of sparkle in their life!
