Week 51 Compilation Board!
357 days down, 8 days to go!!!
Day 355 – Fairy in a Jar
Created by cutting a silhouette of a fairy out of black paper and sticking it on the inside of the jar.
I then stuck one layer of white tissue paper using PVA glue, added some fairy dust and pearlescent paint before lighting a candle on the inside for the glow…
Day 353 – Puzzle Fairy
I drew this scene in pencil on some paper before painting in watercolour and finishing some if the details in black fineliner.
I then cut it into puzzle-shaped pieces (which took a lot longer than I expected).
Day 351 – Tartan Fairy
Cut from an image of tartan to celebrate Burns Night. The tartan should also (hopefully) be from the “clan” of a particular birthday girl…
Day 345 – Pop-Up Fairy Vol II
I used felt tip pens to create various patterns on plain paper before cutting the shapes out and then sticking them onto a pop-up card.
Day 322 – Wrapping Paper Fairy
Today’s fairy has been cut from wrapping paper from the festive season. Layered upon each other and placed onto a brown leather background.
Day 313 – Fondant Fairy
Cut from some fondant icing using a sharp knife and placed onto a green sponge cake…
Day 299 – Paper Snowflake Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created by using the paper snowflake method for the wings (using sheet music). I then cut out a separate silhouette for the body out of plain paper.
Day 298 – Shrinkles Fairy
Using an old fashioned technique for today’s fairy, I coloured in the fairy design on the Shrinkle paper before putting it in the oven for a couple of minutes. It shrunk considerably and is really quite solid!
Day 297 – Avengers Fairy
Today’s fairy has been cut from some Avengers wrapping paper, using my craft knife and cutting mat.
