Week Forty Seven in a snapshot ๐
329 days down, 36 to go…
Day 328 – Bubble Painted Fairy
Created by using an old favourite technique of bubble painting, I put paint and washing up liquid in various cups, blew bubbles into the cups before dabbing the page onto the bubbles.
Once dried, I cut out the shape of today’s fairy.
Day 327 – 2018 Fairy
To celebrate the start of 2018, I painted “2018” in various shades of watercolour paints before layering it up with coloured pens and colouring pencils.
I then drew a silhouette of a fairy on the reverse and cut it out using my craft knife and placed the reverse silhouette on the cutting mat.
Day 325 – Watercolour Pencil Fairy
Using a newly re-discovered material of watercolour pencils, I couldn’t resist playing around and sketching today’s fairy before using a wet paintbrush to blend the colours.
Day 322 – Wrapping Paper Fairy
Today’s fairy has been cut from wrapping paper from the festive season. Layered upon each other and placed onto a brown leather background.
Day 316 – Ceramic Heart Fairy
Using pastel coloured ceramic paints and a sponge, I created the background (with a bit of texture). I then painted the silhouette of today’s fairy in black with a small paintbrush.
Day 311 – Minion Fairy
Drawn using HB pencil and coloured in using Crayola pens. The details were added using my faithful black fineliner.
I couldn’t resist putting GP (Glitter Peach) on the pocket.
Day 310 – Handprint Fairy
For today’s fairy, I put watercolour paint onto my hands and printed them onto white paper. When the paint was dry, I cut around the shapes and stuck them together.
Day 308 – Bell Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created by arranging a selection of mini colourful bells and small silver bells on a white foam background.
Day 304 – Sequin Pin Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created by painstakingly pinning each and every individual sequin onto the lid ofย a polystyrene box. This took considerably longer than I expected!
Day 301 – Mosaic Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created using small plastic mosaic tiles. I stuck some double sided sticky tape on the base of a wooden tray and followed the pattern to create the fairy first. I decided to mix the various colours for the background, adding a border and buttons at the top of the tray to add a bit of interest.
