Day 355 – Fairy in a Jar
Created by cutting a silhouette of a fairy out of black paper and sticking it on the inside of the jar.
I then stuck one layer of white tissue paper using PVA glue, added some fairy dust and pearlescent paint before lighting a candle on the inside for the glow…
Day 353 – Puzzle Fairy
I drew this scene in pencil on some paper before painting in watercolour and finishing some if the details in black fineliner.
I then cut it into puzzle-shaped pieces (which took a lot longer than I expected).
Day 350 – Ombre Background Fairy
Drawn directly using black fineliner onto a feint colourful stripey background painted using watercolour paints.
Day 347 – Banana Fairy
Drawn using permanent marker onto a banana skin.
Day 346 – Ink Sketched Fairy
Drawn freehand using a black fineliner straight onto some plain paper. I did not draw a pencil outline, hence the less-than-perfect proportions.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a close-up fairy so wanted to focus on her face for a change.
Day 344 – Scrabble Fairy
Created by arranging the letter tiles from this popular board game into a silhouette. I have tried to include the occasional fairy-related and Glitter Peach related words…
Day 341 – Cable-Tie Fairy
Today’s fairy has been created by looping some black cable-ties and layering them up on my white corkboard.
Day 338 – Carved Carrot Fairy
I used a couple of different sizes vegetable knives to carve today’s fairy into a carrot.
Day 337 – Chequered Fairy
I drew the outline of the silhouette on some lined paper in my black fineliner before drawing vertical lines. I then coloured in alternate squares in black to resemble a chequerboard.
Day 335 – Clockwork Fairy
For today’s fairy, I arranged some cogs and hands from a clock-making kit on our dining table.
